SMITH & NEPHEW Allevyn AG adhesive is a hydrocellular dressing that reduces risk of excess fluid at the wound site by transpiring the fluid away more quickly. This dressing removes some barriers to healing allowing the host to regain control and promote rapid wound closure, reduced risk of maceration, less potential for leakage and odor, and provides absorption capacity for up to 7 days. Each dressing contains a minimum of 1.33Mg/cm2 of silver sulfadiazine. Breathable top film switches to become more breathable in the presence of fluid, therefore it responds, when the clinician needs it most. Allevyn ag provides optimal exudate management and prevents healing tissue from growing into the dressing minimizing pain on removal. The dressing reduces bacterial load (in-vitro) and provides an effective barrier to bacteria penetration. It sustains antibacterial activity against a broad spectrum of chronic wound pathogens. The waterproof dressing has a 4x4 inch (10x10cm) foam core and non-adherent wound contact layer and measures 5x5 inches (12.5X12.5Cm). This product is sold by the box of 10.
