The overall chemical process for the Assure Prism system is an Electrochemical Assay method. The Assure Prism test strips chemical composition contains glucose oxidase as its principal reagent. The glucose in the blood sample mixes with this chemical to produce a small electrical current. The meter then converts this electrical current to a glucose concentration.
