SMITH & NEPHEW Lodosorb removes barriers to healing by its dual action antimicrobial and desloughing properties. The broad spectrum antimicrobial action is provided by the sustained release of iodine and the desloughing action is provided by the unique cadexomer matrix. By effectively removing the barriers of bacteria, slough, debris and excess exudate, Lodosorb has been shown to create an effective wound healing environment and is effective for the management of chronic exuding wounds, including infected wounds. It effectively reduces the bacterial load in the wound environment, including MRSA and serves as a barrier to new pathogen invasion. Iodosorb changes color to indicate when dressing change is needed and can be removed with saline to help reduce trauma to the patient, and increase patient quality of life. Size 1.4oz. tube. Sold by the each. This is a special order non-stock non-returnable item. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
