SMITH & NEPHEW Replicare Hydrocolloid wound dressing is a hydrocolloid dressing that contains a dense concentration of absorbent material in a thin dressing for superior absorption in the management of exuding wounds. It is indicated for exudate absorption and the management of partial to full thickness wounds including ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic), pressure sores, donor sites, surgical incisions, surgical excisions, and burns (first- and second-degree). Replicare creates and maintains a moist wound environment which has been established as the optimal environment for the management of wounds. It provides physical separation between the wound and external environments to assist in preventing bacterial contamination of the wound. The cohesive properties keep the wound free of dressing residue and the exterior waterproof film aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination. The top film can be easily wiped clean. This dressing allows for one-handed application and will not stick to gloves. It hugs curves better and stretches comfortably, with a combination of adhesion and elasticity for maximum wear time, reduced nursing time and more cost effective use of materials. The beveled edges help keep the dressing from sticking to clothing or bed linens, reducing the risk of leakage. Size 4" x 4". Twelve dressing allowed per thirty days. Sold by the box of 5.
