DERMA SCIENCES Medihoney Non-Adherent Alginate Absorbent dressings contain 95% Active Manuka (Leptospermum) Honey (+15) impregnated into a calcium alginate dressing. As the wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs and forms a gel, making the dressing easy to remove without disrupting the wound bed. Medihoney is used to jump start the healing process for stalled, non-progressing wounds. It cleans and debrides due to its high osmolarity and helps to lower the overall PH.
