JOHNSON & JOHNSON Promogran Prisma Matrix is a unique formulation of 55% collagen, 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) and 1% silver-ORC that delivers a balanced combination for protection and growth that is appropriate for a variety of wound types and conditions. Prisma Matrix protects the wound bed by eliminating factors that can slow healing. It removes destructive elements and components in wound fluid to restore a more normal healing environment, kills clinically relevant bacteria in the dressing to help maintain bacterial balance, and reduces bacterial growth, which may help reduce the risk of infection. This dressing promotes healthy tissue growth while simultaneously delivering silver to the wound. This treatment can be used on infected or non-infected wounds or wounds in which the presence of infection cannot be determined. 20% of all infected wounds exhibit no clinical signs of infection.
